Following a catastrophic explosion during a static fire test of a new rocket system at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, significant damage was sustained to the launch pad infrastructure. The incident occurred during testing of Blue Origin’s New Glenn rocket program supporting U.S. Space Force missions, prompting an immediate response to assist recovery and environmental management efforts.
RECON Outfitters was called upon to provide a rapid storage solution for water management operations at the site. Within just 48 hours, our team mobilized and delivered 30 frac tanks to support the recovery effort.
The tanks were deployed to provide temporary water storage while crews pumped and managed the water collection system beneath the launch pad. This critical storage capacity enabled recovery teams to safely collect, contain, and manage large volumes of water during cleanup and assessment operations.
